for this assignment you select a photo of someone and crop them to the waist and up. the you copy the layer (control J) and name it soft focus then you right click that layer and turn it into the smart object, then you go to filter, blur, and then surface blur. then you copy the soft focus layer and name it black and white. then on the layer panel go to the half circle and go to hue/saturation and turn the saturation off. then go to layer and create a clipping mask. then create a new layer by clicking on the sticky note in the layers box, and name it half tone. then go to channels above the layers then while holding control click on RGB, then hit control+shift+i. then make sure black is on top in the tool box. then hit alt+backspace, then turn off that half tone layer and black and white layer. and go to soft focus. then go to filter, filter gallery, artistic, and cutout and make it 8, 0, and 3. make a copy of the soft focus layer and go to your blending modes on the layer panel and change it to soft light. then turn hue/saturation back on and select that layer then go to filter, filter gallery, poster edges and change it 1,1,1. then change layer black and white and go to the blending mode and change it to pin light. then turn on the layer half tone and select that layer and create a mask, and then go to filter, pixelate, and color halftone. then make a new layer and alt+back space and then turn the fill to 0%. then go to fx, stroke and make the size 10-20, and change the position to inside, then go to the rectangle tool and the custom one, and then go to the shape and then the side arrow and go to talk bubbles and append. then pick a talk bubble and move where you want it and then make it white, and then go to fx and change the size to 5 and change position to inside, then you go to the rectangle tool and make a rectangle at the bottom left screen and change the color to whatever, and get the text tool and type in the date. Make the first letter bigger than the rest and in a different color, and the rest in a different color. and you do that for every picture. then when you're ready to put the images in the template, open up the template and go to image and mode and select RGB. then open up the comic pictures and move them into the template and resize them and then add a title.
